Acquisition strengthens scale and reach in a key strategic region
Barendrecht, 21 July 2025 – BUKO Traffic & Safety, part of the BUKO Group, is expanding its footprint in the United Kingdom through the acquisition of London-based Keltic Traffic Management. This strategic acquisition strengthens BUKO’s position in the Greater London region – a complex, fast-growing market where high levels of flexibility and scalability are essential – and marks an important step in the company’s ambition to become a leading player in temporary traffic management across the UK.
Keltic: London’s success story in traffic management
Keltic Traffic Management was founded in 2016 by Damien and Karla Kelly. In just a few years, they grew the business into a leading player in the London traffic management market. Through a high-quality, reliable and flexible service offering Keltic unburdens its utilities- and telecom-focused customers in the complex London traffic management market. Over the years, Keltic has developed strong relationships with a diverse set of customers.
“We are proud of what we, together with our team, have built in recent years,” says Damien Kelly. “The partnership with BUKO will provide additional support and capabilities to further enhance the service to our customers, and we look forward to this next phase in Keltic’s development. We believe this step will also provide attractive opportunities to our employees to further develop within a strong, international organisation.”
Stronger together in Greater London
Robert Emmerich, CEO of BUKO Group, said: “I am impressed by the entrepreneurship of Damien and Karla Kelly, and by their customer-centric and result-oriented way of working. Their approach perfectly matches that of BUKO; professional, flexible and with a focus on our customers. With this strategic acquisition we further strengthen our position in the London area.”
Mark Gallimore, Managing Director of BUKO Traffic & Safety, said: “This acquisition gives us extra capacity in one of the UK’s most dynamic regions. Collaborating with Keltic brings us closer to our customers, increases our operational flexibility and allows us to act faster and smarter. Exactly what’s needed to succeed in a complex urban market like London.”
The acquisition creates a strong cluster of businesses under the BUKO Traffic & Safety banner, enabling BUKO to better meet the needs of large, nationwide clients. This is a next step in BUKO’s strategy of becoming the leading temporary traffic management provider across the UK and Europe.
